FLOAT THERAPY FAQ'S

What is floating?

Floating (also called float therapy or sensory-reduction therapy) is relaxation in a private pod filled with warm water and Epsom salt. The buoyancy allows your body to float effortlessly while reducing external noise, light, and pressure.

What are the benefits of floating?

People float for stress relief, muscle recovery, improved sleep, pain reduction, mental clarity, and meditation. Many report feeling deeply rested—similar to hours of sleep.

How long is a float session?

Most sessions are 60 minutes, but we also offer 75- and 90-minute options.

Do I need to know how to swim?

No. The water is less than 12 inches deep and packed with Epsom salt, so you float completely on your back with zero effort.

What do I wear during a float?

Most people float nude to maximize comfort and avoid distractions. Your room and pod are completely private.

Is it safe?

Yes. The water is filtered multiple times between every guest, UV-sanitized, and maintained with medical-grade disinfectants. High salt concentration also naturally inhibits bacteria growth.

Can I float if I’m claustrophobic?

Yes—many claustrophobic guests actually love floating. You can float with the lid open, the lights on, or music playing. You’re always in control of your environment.

Will I get salt in my eyes?

It might happen, but we provide freshwater spray bottles and towels so you can rinse instantly.

What if I fall asleep?

Totally okay—many people do. The buoyancy keeps you safely afloat.

Can I float while pregnant?

Yes! Many pregnant women float to relieve lower-back pressure and swelling. We recommend checking with your doctor if you’re in your third trimester.

Do I need to bring anything?

We provide towels, earplugs, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and post-float amenities. You only need to bring a brush, contacts case, or anything personal.

Can I float after getting a new tattoo or hair color?

Wait until your tattoo is fully healed. For hair color, it must run clear in the shower before floating to avoid discoloration.

Is the water hot?

It’s skin-temperature warm (around 94°), so your body and the water blend for a weightless feeling.

How often should I float?

One float gives great results, but most people feel deeper benefits with regular sessions—weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

What if I’m nervous for my first time?

Totally normal. We walk you through everything before your session, and you control the pod lights, music, and lid at all times.
