The Renova Center is dedicated to the life and legacy of Willam Breck Wood, the husband of Deb Wood, the resident CEO and Naturopath. In 1999 Breck was given 3 months to live. He had two forms of cancers: CLL (Chronic lymphocytic leukemia) and Stage Four Melanoma. At the time of this "news," Deb was completing her ND and PhD dissertation by studying cancer elimination through energy medicine and alternative medicine treatments.
Her research led her to the extraordinary work of Dr. Hulda Clark, author of The Cure for all Diseases; and Dr. Vincent Speckhart, a local popular oncologist who left medicine to treat cancer with alternative/energy methods because he said he was "tired of killing his friends and family with chemo". Through his guidance and Hulda Clark's devices Breck lived for seven more years.
At the suggestion of Dr. Speckhart and direction of Dr. Clark, Deb built a "zapper." Deb and Breck were pleased and surprised after using the zapper, the melanoma was gone. The CLL was more stubborn so they searched for bigger "zapping" devices. With each zapper treatment, Breck's health seemed to restore but because of his popularity in the community, his cohorts convinced him to do chemotherapy.
With each chemo treatment, Breck became more sick, but he was a fighter and survived five treatments. After the fifth treatment, it was learned that the chemo had caused a Squamous Cell Carcinoma to grow in his ear. By the time it was discovered, it had already grown into his brain. The world lost a great man and Deb lost her soul-mate.
